For businesses that handle a growing amount of inventory, I imagine warehouse operations can become difficult to coordinate as the number of products and orders increases.
I’ve been reading about Warehouse Management System solutions and how they can be used to organize activities such as receiving, picking, stock movement, and order fulfillment. But I’m interested in hearing from people who actually work with warehouses.
What tends to cause the most problems in your experience — inaccurate stock counts, misplaced items, picking errors, slow receiving, or keeping different locations synchronized?
Would be interesting to hear what processes other businesses have found difficult to manage manually.
